About Company
Standard Group began its journey in the garment and apparel manufacturing industry in 1984 under the corporate umbrella of The Civil Engineers Limited, during a time when Bangladesh was entering a new phase of industrial growth. Following the decline of the jute industry, the mid-1980s marked the beginning of a thriving textile and garment sector in the country, presenting new opportunities for industrial development and global trade.
The foundation of this journey traces back to 1969 when The Civil Engineers Limited was established by two graduates from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Engr. Mosharraf Hussain and Engr. Atiqur Rahman. Initially operating as a construction and engineering company, the organization earned numerous national awards and recognition for its excellence in infrastructure development and engineering projects.
